Lithium’s limited ability to provide the future required storage solutions accelerate the development of alternative systems. Sodium ion battery (SIB) takes full advantage of the production lines and maturity of the LIB technology by replacing the main active material with a cheap and abundant metal. Sodium exhibits similar chemistry to that of lithium and considered as the most promising alternative. Our former knowledge and experience will enable development of unique cathode which improve SIB performance, longevity and sustainability, in addition to better system’s pricing.
